Dr Dalia El Haieg is a professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 29 September 2007. She completed her speciality training in ultrasound unit in OB/GYN department , Zagazig University, 1998. She attended several national and international advanced ultrasound courses in OB/GYN. In April 1997, she obtained Medical Doctorate (MD) of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Zagazig University, Egypt. Currently she is the director of Ultrasound and fetal medicine unit, OB/GYN, Zagazig university which is a tertiary referral center in Sharkia governorate that serves about 6 million people. She organized several basic and advanced ultrasound courses in both Obstetrics and Gynecology on a regular basis in Zagazig University. She also participated in a large number of courses all over Egypt. In addition, she was the vice chair, then the chair of the institutional review board (IRB) faculty of medicine, Zagazig University for 4 years. She was also a board member of the Egyptian Universities promotion committee ( 2013-2019).

Catherine Williamson is Professor of Women’s Health at Kings College London and Honorary Consultant in Obstetric Medicine at St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospitals. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and a NIHR Senior Investigator. In her clinical practice she manages women with medical disorders in pregnancy. Her research focuses on the endocrine signals that influence alterations in bile acid, lipid and glucose homeostasis in normal and pathological pregnancies. She also studies the maternal and fetal aetiology, outcomes and management of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, gestational diabetes mellitus and severe hyperemesis gravidarum.
